user policy

As an alternative to a free and advertisement free service without venture capital investment, we are pursuing a crowd funding concept. As such the user policy will be open to the users who chose to be engaged in the development and support of the Niche community.

In an effort to be responsive to the community which uses Niche all changes to the User Policy will be first proposed and then voted upon democratically*. Each user regardless of donation size greater than $1 can vote on any proposed changes to the User Policy for 1 year from the time of donation.

Data collected by Niche will be anonymized before being analyzed to protect user privacy.

Niche will not censor users unless required by law or in the case of abuse, which cannot be managed with the built-in functionality. Community moderation functionality may be implemented for each interest, but will not be managed by Niche.

* The vote assumes a starting user base of 10,000 and that this base will grow by a factor of 2 monthly with a weighted 25% controlled by the partners and employees.
